Pet Combat isn't tied to Player Combat #29

Open slicplaya opened 2 years ago

Current behavior: Pet Combat isn't tied to Player Combat

Expected behavior: When a Hunter's Pet initiates combat or is hit to engage itself in combat, the hunter should be placed in combat as well.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. Send pet to attack a mob.
  2. Marvel as the hunter is not in combat as well, and able to mount, eat(and gain HP which should NOT happen because the hunter is supposed to be in combat.

Thank you for the report, I will be investigating this.

It shouldnt be, at least in wrath of the lich king hunter pets should not proc combat for hunters as far as i know.

All pets for all classes have combat linked to them. It's the baseline for all wow char/pet interactions in every expansion. Imagine me sending my BM pet full ham on you then just mounting up if you CC it. This is very incorrect, sorry.

I'm not sure if it's related but Death Knights blood worms on summon won't auto engage with players target, only when you backpeddle to get the npc to reposition and agro them
