Missing translations in skin #487

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
These are my finding for missing translation for use in the skin files.
Those should be translated as well.

These are missing in the skin:

movingpictures.xml
<label>Director</label>
<label>Writer</label>
<label>#MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.genres</label>
<label>#date</label>
<label>#time</label>
<label>STAR RATING:</label>
<label>Movie Details</label>
Got something with rated as well.

movingpictures.details.xml
<label>director</label>
<label>writer</label>
<label>year</label>
<label>runtime</label>

Genres can be found on http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Genres/
these depends on what the scraper gets, but if imdb is used they could be
translated

Genre should be translated based on which importer the user is using so I am
not sure
translated strings for genres should be added, but we will add everything else.

Yeah that's right, but if the movie isn't found in own native language scraper
it
searches on imdb - that's why i mentioning them .

Translation to restricted movies is missing too.

There are a couple of places in the en-us.xml file where there is "Moving
Pictures"
hardcoded.

As the plugin allow to rename itself, this should be changed to {0} and reflect
the
title.

Maybe that string should even get it's way to the language file ;)

Another place that lacks localization:

using Blue3Wide, go in "small icon view" then move left until you get the menu.
Here you have "change view...", "filter by...", "sort by...", "parental
control", "video settings"

if you instead use "info" on the remote in teh same view you get the localized
strings (for me "1 mostra film visti e non visti", "2 filtra per...", "3 ordina
per...", "4 cambia vista...", "5 opzioni film...")

r889 adds all static translations as properties to the skin..

i'm now in the process of updating the blue3wide skin files and adding missing
translation to our translation file.

Just a few notes:
 - Need a translation to Toggle Parental Lock from GUIButton.
 - Writers is the same as Writer

I still see some tweak needed:

film view:

Movie Details (missing translation)
Director (not used by skin)
Valutad (not En-Us nor It, where is it coming from?)

movie detail:

attores (not En-Us nor It, where is it coming from?)

context menu->filter by:

genre (not used by skin)
year (not used by skin)
certification (not used by skin)
date added (not used by skin)

what's wrong with Valutad and Attores? that are the correct translations right?
ALso which blue3wide skin version are you using?

oops i accidentally entered the post above.. previously these translations
where
using the numbered mediaportal translation.. but that would mean you are not
using
the updated blue3wide skin files. Please check out the latest revision and
update
your blue3wide skin files.

Attores is not Italian neither English. Same goes for Valutad.

I don't understand the question about Blue3Wide. I have latest MP svn built +
latest
MovPic svn

Unfortunately after a clean install on clean MP I can confirm both "Attores"
and "Valudad" :(

Just did a quick test: changed movingpictures.details.xml, line 216 with
<label>TEST</label> and now I get "TEST" instead of "Attores"
and changing movingpictures.xml, line 649 with <label>TEST2
#MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.certification</label> I get "TEST2 PG-13" instead
of "Validad PG-13"

So it seems that somehow those values are corrupted as in the log I can see
them
loaded correctly:
16-Nov-2009 16:26:35 Debug [ MovingPicturesGUI]:
#MovingPictures.Translation.Actors = "Attori"
16-Nov-2009 16:26:36 Debug [ MovingPicturesGUI]:
#MovingPictures.Translation.Rated
= "Valutato"

As a side note I just noticed that it.xml is not part of the project ( listed
under
language ) like it is for all the others languages

logic
tomorrow.

I think a translation for user rating is required e.g.

#MovingPictures.Translation.UserStarRating = "Rated"
#MovingPictures.Translation.UserStarRating = "My Rating"
#MovingPictures.Translation.UserStarRating = "User Rating"

I prefer "Rated" as the default english one.

Retagged the version number for this issue. This is not a rescheduling, we
are just changing our version number scale.
