Fresh build doesn't appear in Android Auto #1143

I just built the master branch - guessing it may be 5.5.4 later. It runs great and I am using it specifically for one of the post-5.5.3 fixes for replaygain + opus.

Unlike 5.5.3, this build doesn't appear in Android Auto, even with unknown sources checked. Is this perhaps because it's not signed? If so, do I need to wait for a new (signed) release, or is there a way for me to sign it myself, such that it'll reappear in Android Auto?

Solved another problem myself... I had to create a keystore, upload key, build a google/release version of the signed APK and install that. Now it shows up in Android Auto - yay!
