The step that is currently identified as step 4 (using ftp program) uses terminology that is a bit "unusual" it appears to state that the installer will merge with the current files. Isn't that something the user needs to do, or have the installers gotten that good?
If the user(s) are expected to merge the files, then suggest the note to read (Note: All files make use of the overrides system, and should be merged with your current files, not replace them.)
That said, perhaps I misunderstood and the expectation is that because the files use the override system they will merge with the current files. (This also raises a question about if the files in using the overrides system means that they use the template overrides or a different override. If template then hopefully instruction discusses "installing" this plugin for each template and how to accomplish that if it is otherwise already installed.
