The game could benefit from a more complex gametype than just challenges.
A 'campaign' gametype would be awesome. It could take a number of forms - either a series of challenges into which you take one of a stable of ships. Unlockable sections could be explained at the start, thus giving goals beyond 'survive' and 'kill'. Money earned could be based on chaining enemy deaths close together, picking up bonus items dropped etc. The player would then be given a chance to upgrade and redesign their ship. Would also be pretty awesome to have a number of upgradeable sections, basically to increase the number of ways for the player to spend their money.
