Kinda doesn't play well in Tomcat7 and Grails 2.1 #15

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Deploy to tomcat7 
2. Tomcat7 will complain it can't find the jdbc driver in the common lib folder
3. Then put the file there
4. Then try again
5. Then see there are missing dependencies
6. Try put them all in the common lib  - grails comes with its own logging jars 
which can't go in there
7. Observe some conflicts 
8. App starts, but eventually stalls.

Not really a log4jdbc problem. I consider it more of a Tomcat7 problem, how and 
ever I thought it good to register it here.

Scrap this. the thing isn't starting even without the log4jdbc.
