Re: https://github.com/darktrojan/openwith/wiki#user-content-other-hints when I first tested the feature, I assumed (wrongly) that it failed because my home page is:

chrome://speeddial/content/

Through trial and error, I realised that the feature is intended to open

the home page of the targeted browser
not the home page of the browser in which the Control-Click is performed.
