Not working on Thunderbird 68.10.0 (64-Bit) Mac #276

Add-on installs, but no context menu, no toolbar button, no menu.

Thunderbird 68.10.0 (64-Bit) MacOS 10.14.6 18G2022

Hello @noyannus,

I'm not a Mac user but maybe step 4 (and further) in my https://github.com/darktrojan/openwith/issues/281#issuecomment-722463106 will help you out? That issue is about the add-on in Thunderbird 78.x. When I was still using Thunderbird 68 I had no problem using Open With. Or maybe you just need to update it to it's latest version? You can download that one here

I've moved on to Thunderbird 83.0b2 (64bit, beta channel, German localization). macOS is still on 10.14.6.

Tried so far, with TB restarts after every change: OW 6.9.2 from the TB add-ons page fails to install, dialog says it's not the "expected" add-on. OW 6.9.2 downloaded, installed from file "not compatible", no toolbar icon. OW for Firefox v7.2.2, manual install fails because "damaged", both with the .zip and the .xpi suffix.

Do we have some kind of log for installation attempts?

Sorry, I'm only a simple user with some ideas, so I don't know that,

All I know is Open With works with Thunderbird 68 and not with 78 or 83 at the moment. Maybe one of the programmers here or Darktrojan knows?

For TB 83 beta, you might find some logging information on their site and the frequently asked questions, develop an add-on, I think the last link is more for developers.

Please check out the new VERSION_7.2.3. Now it works in Thunderbird 78+ (tested on TB 78.5.1 on macOS).

Yesss! Tested on Windows 10 with Thunderbird version 78.5.1 (64 bits) and working!

Note; at the moment of writing version 7.2.3 is seen as an old version, it can be found at the Thunderbird Open-With add-on versions page.
