Sound does not work #3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. typing does not produce sound
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Typing sound on key stroke. instead, there's a 5-10secs lag as if program
is searching for sound file. No sound.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.2.8, Xubuntu 8.04 on eee pc 900

Please provide any additional information below.

Network Audio System (nas) 1.9.1 should be installed for sound to work.

Now then, sound was ported to libsdl.
