K8s autoscaling will not take care of everything! Some limitations:-

Cluster autoscaler may have to be tuned to handle certain cases of scaling. currently it takes 10 mins to add a new node
Meaningful Statefulset auto-scaling is not possible or difficult unless exact/nature of load is known.
