It would seem that there are things that go missing from the data. It seems that at some point since we started updating every day, there are a few candidates that went missing from the candidates data:

The candidate_position field in the committees table seems quite often wrong when it comes to opposing committees. This is different from when a committee makes an expense in support of or in opposition to a candidate (that's listed individually per expenditure). These are explicit links made between committees and candidates in a separate file that we get from ISBE.
Below are all of the committees that have a candidate_position of oppose and the names of the candidates they are supposedly opposing. As you can see, they just seem kinda wrong.

It would seem that there are a few issues with the data so far:
Lets keep updating this as the issues crop up. Perhaps we can report them back to the IL Board of Elections eventually.
