Open mostlyhuman opened 2 years ago

Using Daz Studio Beta v4.20.1 with plugin version v2.0.2 and UE5 v5.0.2 with plugin v2.0.1b. I am getting this distortion in UE5 when importing Genesis 8 and 8.1 male. Thank you for any help!

@mostlyhuman I have tested Daz Studio Beta 4.20.1.43 + UE 5.0.2 + latest plugin v2022.1.17.21 with G8 male and am not getting this issue. Please try downloading and installing the latest version here: https://github.com/daz3d/DazToUnreal/releases

If you are still getting distortion, then please include the following information:

  1. What exact steps do you perform in Daz Studio to export?
  2. What exact steps are you doing in UE after import completes?
  3. Please include full screenshot of the entire UE window, and include information related to any preview animation or pose that is currently being applied to the figure.

Evidently it was something with my UE5 project, I created a whole new project and it is working fine. Any ideas what might be causing that in my main project?

Hmm, that sounds similar to the problem here: https://github.com/daz3d/DazToUnreal/issues/3 I don't know if they ever found a solution, but it might be worthwhile for you to ask them.

Another thing to try is to disable all plugins from your bugged project and see if the problem is still there. If it isn't, then slowly add back plugins one-by-one until you identify a plugin causing the issue.
