kola map arctic campaign #3460

hi, any chance we could see a kola winter-time campaign in the next release? the new winter textures are just mindblowing : ) thanks

You can run any of the Kola map campaigns in winter if you wish. Just pick a winter month when setting up the campaign. I've run Able Archer in winter several times, for example.

thanks, but i dont see any kola campaigns on 11.1.1, guess it's only in the unreleased version yet?

Ok, that kinda jogged my memory. When I last ported my Retribution campaigns to Liberation, Liberation didn't have Kola support yet so I left my Kola campaign out. I had forgotten about that, sorry.

If you want to, you can grab any of the Kola campaigns in Retribution (except Pretense campaigns as Liberation doesn't have Pretense support) and run them in Liberation. You will have to modify the version number in the campaign yaml, and possibly make some changes to the squadrons and strip out the custom campaign settings section, but you should be able to get them running.

well didnt see any kola campaigns in retribution 1.3.1 either... but guess your kola campaigns will be part of the next liberation release anyway : ) thanks

1.3.1 is very old and should not be used. You should be getting the campaign files from the Retribution beta or alpha build.
