formatting using clang-format #68

we should format the source code.

Historically, we have treated the code gallery as a list of codes contributed by the authors, and using their coding styles. That includes sticking with their preferred indentation style.

I think that that would also make it easier for authors to continue developing their own line of the code -- although in practice we haven't seen much back and forth in terms of patches.

Nobody else felt strongly about it, so let's close this. We can always open again.
