Transfer rate in bits/s or bytes/s #184

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just download some content.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect transfer rate to be shown in bits/s not bytes/s. An option to
switch between bits/s or bytes/s would be appreciated.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.13 (build 3655) on Windows Vista/7

Please provide any additional information below.
I think that default should be bits/s because internet connections are also
measured (advertised) in bits/s, therefore that would really help to see
how saturated your internet connection is. Otherwise you have to
recalculate bytes/s back to bits/s manually.

After all bits/s is a networking industry standard and Transmission is a
network application.

We have never seen any kind of BT app measure in bits/s.
