I received an email from a Non-Gov provider. gave links that were suspect. I do not trust emails that say they represent someone, but the links go someplace else entirely! veteransaffairs@public.govdelivery.com here is a copy:

As spam becomes more advanced, it is always smart to proceed with caution. If an email looks suspicious, you did the right thing and didn’t risk your personal information by opening or responding to the message. Hovering your mouse over the link helps to identify the actual address of the link. So it is always a good idea to see if the link is actually directing you to the address it is supposed to. There are many websites that explain how to protect yourself from potentially dangerous email. If you’d like to confirm your message was in fact spam, feel free to send a message to the customer service system called Inquiry Routing & Information System (IRIS) and they will route it to the proper office for action.
