How might we leverage API integration with Google my business rather than relying on web crawlers? How can we maintain this with distributed reporting?

may be able to leverage for Vet Centers and VAMCs who have adopted Drupal as single source of truth

From speedrun: in order to claim a Vet Center from Google perspective in order to correct data, you must be able to answer the associated phone number. Hence, tech teams not helping to fix this to date.

However: @stefaniefgray may have knowledge re: how we can escalate to Google when this is a patient safety issue. Could be worth a KB article, if so. (re: "clinic in a cornfield" issue... ?)

@jilladams Haha, thanks for referencing the "clinic in a cornfield" Vet Center Google Maps error debacle! 🌽

When that happened in late 2022, Dave C had to put us in touch with Google bigwigs who he just happened to have the contact info for, but

• They might not work there forever
• Dave C might not work here forever
• This is not a sustainable means of contact for future Google / Google Maps issues

We might want to consult with him regarding how to solidify escalation paths with Google that are sustainable in the long-run
