As the PO of CMS, I need to understand the level of effort and skillset needed for the CMS Team to move away from dependabot to understand if/how to prioritize the work for the CMS team.
Description or Additional Context
Dependabot has not been working as intended, which is to run independently, but rather, bumps get stuck and then upgrades get backed up in the dependabot process, which requires CMS engineers to go back and clean up. Therefore, we want to explore what it would mean for the CMS team to move away from using dependabot for the CMS repo.
Acceptance Criteria
[ ] An understanding of the scope of where CMS wants to move dependabot way from managing CMS processes and maintenance.
[ ] A plan of action, include level of effort for CMS team to move away from using dependabot for maintenance tasks and towards CMS engineers managing that process instead.
