Hello @shiragoodman @KKitagawa-Bosch, in the past, the link text was updated from "Get VA Form 22-0803 to print" to "Get VA Form 22-0803 to download" as per Erin's suggestions. Also, I see this this verbiage used on different pages across the VA.

@DanielleThierryUSDSVA any thoughts here? The example for links in the style guide seems pretty direct and clear to me, but if this language is being used elsewhere and the formatting is better for some IA reasons (@erinrwhite?) maybe this is another good candidate for an update in the style guide.

erinrwhite commented 1 month ago

The formatting guidance in the style guide is pretty proscriptive about this (emphasis mine here):

  • Create space between different links. Clustering links together can make it hard for users to select the intended link, especially on a touch screen device, like a smartphone.
  • In general, put a link on a separate line to help it stand out. Exception: Putting a link at the end of a sentence is OK if space is limited, like intro copy or alerts.

Hello @erinrwhite, I will ensure to follow the formatting guidance, what about the verbiage of the link?

@skulka07 I don't think we have a set-in-stone standard for this, but I really like the example from Storybook, Download VA form XX-XXXX (PDF, XX pages)
