Lost facebook buddy names #456

Yesterday all names of my buddies were lost and they are now replaced with their facebook ID numbers. Others that are not my buddies have their names alright. What happened? Facebook

Confirmed. Must have been a protocol change.

It seems a workaround is to log in to facebook in your browser and send somebody a message in chat. All my buddy names came back after that. Or it magically just solved itself in the last 5 minutes.

Now the contact names are back without any intervention.
