I have the same requirement in a project of mine. Any info when/if this get's implemented? Maybe I can help implementing this feature. If you have a rough plan how this should be implemented, please let me know :)

This feature has been files 5 years ago, but was never really required, because I personally always either use solr or ke_search in TYPO3 projects.

If you want to contribute to the extension, feel free to provide a PR for the feature.

Requirements:

TYPO3 v12 only
New action for searchForm and searchResult
Extend DTO with searchTerm
Extend findDemanded with searchTerm

Most things may be similar to the search feature in my extension https://github.com/derhansen/sf_event_mgt
