Thanks for the help.Every thing now works great.

Firstly, is it ok if i post my questions here or should i direct them onto
something different.

Secondly, i used the s3fs by mounting a bucket. Data transfer occurred
smoothly and every thing looks good except that every time the instance
re-starts the s3fs mounted bucket disappears.

Is there any way i could tell the instance to make sure the bucket is auto
mounted even when the server comes out of a restart cycle.

you can add a line to /etc/fstab to automatically mount the bucket at bootup;
