Purpose:

Design0x aims to decentralize the process of connecting clients with designers, architects and artisans to procure and commision high quality designs on all scales and forms. Clients are able to seamlessly procure all forms of great designs for any item irrespective if they are intended for physical or virtual reality, and also from the human scale or to the scale of a building. Clients then obtain the design data; copyright is negotiated during appointment and it can proceed to fabrication / production in the virtual or physical world.

In essence, the platform solves age-old the problem of the designer looking for clients and the client looking for designer seamlessly and across the globe. Design0x allows clients to post a brief and designers to bid for a brief. If you can imagine it, someone can design it! Designers are also ranked in the system by clients and new clients can choose to work with a ranked designer to procure a high quality work.

Designs can range from many scales from virtual, small to large; so the platform is divided to the following categories for simplicity and ease of use;

Virtual Scale (unlimited) -Websites -Experiences -3D VR environments such as Decentraland -Banners, Adverts and Book Covers

Micro Scale (smaller than human scale) -Products -Jewelry -Furniture -Sports Equipment -Shoes -Toys

Macro Scale (larger than human scale) -Cars -Stage/ Theatre Design -Buildings -Installations -Exhibitions Design

Description:

01 - The focus of this district is to help clients procure designers for a specific project / brief and allow the design to be delivered through a smart-contract platform. The first step in the process would be a client to post a brief. Key parameters and deliverables are stated such as;

Example of VR Brief; site location; Genesis City, Decentraland VR budget; 100ETH timeline; 2 months

Example of Building Brief; site location; Shanghai budget; 100000ETH timeline; 3 months

Example of Product Brief; product type; Iphone case budget; 10ETH timeline; 1 month

02 - Designers can then respond to the brief and if they agree they will sign an smart appointment contract. Key items to be determined are design milestones. Specifically, we need to ensure that there is a way for both project clients and designers to set clear expectations up front with accountability mechanisms built into the system at the smart-contract level in the appointment contract. Fee is negotiated between the 'client' and the 'designer' in ETH or DNT.

03 - The design process begins and the client obtains regular updates on the progress. The platform would support both funding milestones and time-based funding release mechanisms.

04 - Design is delivered to the client and the designer obtains full payment. Deliverables include drawings, prototypes, fabrication data, 3D/BIM models, and visuals depending on the nature of the design.

Designers can also sell pre-existing designs from the scale of a lamp to the scale of a house in the design markeplace segment.
