Web based configuration versus file based configuration #636

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.use the configuration editor
2.experience frequent frequent timeouts require you to enter the same stuff 
again and again and again
3.ask yourself whether simple file based configuration is not superior to a web 
based interface that completely designed around time out.

You can edit the XML if you like (not recommended), or simply increase the 
timeout in the configuration, until you reach the production phase.
