"Palette Limit Breach" #1

Hey,

whenever I try to use the "table Browser", I get a "Palette limit Breach" issue while I actually didn't edit the palettes of my rom so I tried it with a clean FireRed rom to see if the problem was laying on my side, but the issue remained the same.

While the "Palette Limit Breach" error says the rest will be ignored and that I juste have to go to the settings, the program freezes and crashes.

(the error also shows up when hitting the "sprite patch" button but doesn't crashes.)

But maybe am I the one who did something wrong here, sorry if I did xD Your tool looks pretty cool, I'm more into design stuff and so am pretty unfamilliar with all the hex related vocabulary even after reading quickly some guides. 'Hope I didn't messed things up :)

Thanks for feedback. As for the issue you are having, the solution would be to use JAPAN's Hacked Fire Red Engine Rom which can be downloaded by using Google or the various Pokemon Community Forums. This error is caused because in the Settings the values for Palette and OWS Table offsets are set according to that of JAPAN's Hacked Fire Red Rom. So please use the Hacked Rom or use the correct offset values. But for that a lot of tinkering with the settings might be needed. Also in the vanilla Fire Red Rom Sprite Insertion is not supported. Hope this helps you. If you have any other concerns please respond.

Oh right sorry you said it in your QA but I somehow forgot about it when the problem showed up, thanks for the reminder !

To fully explain myself, the other rom I tried to use was a rombase (by kristianangel89 on PC if you want to checkout), who based his own rombase on MrDollSteak's one (yeah that sounds a bit messy). I read in his thread that kristianangel89 thinks he applied JPan's hack, but it looks like I'm gonna have to trace those offsets if I want to use your tool directly on my hack. Otherwise I'll just try to make a patch of it with a working jpan's hacked rom and patch it into mine.

Thank you for your time, have a nice day ! :)
