Hello,

I have followed the instructions in this video to the letter, however, when it comes to looking for lights, I have no results : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDngo4vfwEw I haven't found any answers here either : https://community.home-assistant.io/t/guide-using-the-hue-app-with-home-assistant-via-diyhue/296684 I have several Ikea and Philips Hue bulbs. Some are configured in Home Assistant, others are not (connection search mode). I don't see any errors when I launch the addon : Capture d’écran 2023-09-04 à 19 49 52

I also tried searching for my lights from the Hue app, but as said in the video, gray screen. I also tried from Hue Essentials, no lights found.

Could someone please help me? I answer questions if you want more information on how I do it or my setup. Thanks

Welcome!

In order to use Ikea and genuine Philips HUe bulbs you need a Zigbee Transceiver (a zigbee Dongle) that manages the Light network. As diyhue is pure software, it can not talk to the bulbs without this device.

do you have such a dongle in use? how are the ikea and other bulbs controlled right now?

Thank you!

Yes, I have a working Zigbee dongle (SONOFF ZigBee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus) on which I've already linked several lights and sensors, and I can control them from home assistant with no worries. I've also checked that it's working and picking up new bulbs. But not with diyhue :/

I had no results from my light bulb search in diyhue, I typed {bridgeIP}/detect in my search bar and I get this message "Oops, there appears to be no lighting here".

diyhue does not talk to the stick and thus the zigbee stack directly. we use zigbee2mqtt.io as a software middleman.

diyhue -- zigbee2mqtt -- hardware dongle -- bulbs

if the dongle works with the zigbee2mqtt.io project you should be good to go

I confirm that I have zigbee2mqtt configured correctly, this service finds my Zigbee bulbs.
