Hi, I had diyhue on my home assistant a year ago as I wanted to connect few light bulbs to my ambilight TV.

This worked perfectly on the diyhue side of things, but the light bulbs were cheap zigbee from aliexpress and did not change in time. Ikea bulbs and hue bulbs from other rooms worked fine but by media room had the cheap bulbs so removed it at the time.

Got some new led lights so wanted to try it again, I managed to instal it initially up to getting the mac address but something crashed. I removed diyhue, and restore my home assistant to the backup done just before trying the install. when I do I keep getting the error in title: The command '/bin/bash -o pipefail -c mkdir diyhue config ${WORKING_DIR}' returned a non-zero code: 127

Is this due to a bad timing on my part with the update done today (basing this on the changelog)

Hi, the error you are getting have something to do with the making of directory’s. i suggest to copy the previous config manually to a different folder and remove the original folder. then remove the addon and install again, if it works then copy the backup to the new folder after you shutdown the addon.

Sorry for asking but what previous config exactly? And what original folder? I cannot remove the add-on as the add-on is not installed (as refreshed to my home assistant backup I made before I tried to install double).

Sorry I remember having few issues last year, with the formatting of the mac address and having to not only restart home assistant, but needed to turn off the virtual machine and the pc it's on as well.

I understand I am doing something wrong. I guess I might not be clever enough and need to get a cheap real hue hub maybe

oke then i did not understand you good. then you need to make sure you have the latest os and HA and that you download from the wright repository witch is https://github.com/diyhue/hassio-addon for master. if this is not working on the HA backup you need to start with a new install of HA and check if diyhue is working there.
