Just as preferences are made specifically for each test, we should probably do the same with logging. This isn't as much of a concern given that the log is not used in any tests and we no longer use a logger for the transcript/command line history, but should be done for consistency sake and could be an issue in the future.
Additionally, it would be good to know where the logs folder shows up when a user uses the app.
