Discussed in https://github.com/domlysz/BlenderGIS/discussions/824

Originally posted by **jemharris** October 23, 2023 Hi everyone, Im very new to blender and the blenderGIS add-on. I have a background in mapping which is the reason I found the software. After downloading and installing the add-on. Ive tried to open the basemap, it only allows me to move it around after pressing escape on my keyboard. Zooming in does not work as the map zooms extremely full and cannot get out of it, the basemap does not load either. Please forgive me if this has been a discussion, I have tried searching but struggling with the technicalities. Thank you for any assistance. I have uploaded a screen recording of my issue, I am on MacOS Ventura 13.4 https://github.com/domlysz/BlenderGIS/assets/148778459/3258ff04-4688-443a-bf97-2d1693ea4356

Hi, I have tried on both Blender 2.83.2 and Blender 2.93, I have the same problem, that is, once I lock the view with L, and then I zoom in with the mouse wheel, it downloads the cached tiles however it doesn't let me view the map in detailed version even after I press the E key.

Is there any way to get the map in full resolution?

Same issue here. Tried it on my M1 MacBook and my (quite old) Intel i7 iMac + Blender 3.6.5 and the new 4.0 version. Help needed....!

Im having the same issue. Installed GIS, click GIS> Web Geodata> Basemap, click on ok with the defaults Google, Satellite, and the map does not render, and need to click escape key to have any control of the screen.

Same here, Sonoma 14, map doesn't show at all. I get info about download progress, but then nothing shows.
