Remove documentation from servicing branches #1347

dotnet/arcade contains a large amount of documentation, most of which is in its top-level Documentation folder and very little of which is maintained — except in the main branch. Suggest we git rm -r ./Documentation in all servicing branches to avoid confusing ourselves and our customers with un-maintained documents.

(Conversation originally started in dotnet/arcade#14151.)

Release Note Category

Release Note Description

Removed the Documentation folders from the dotnet/arcade release/6.0, release/7.0, and release/8.0 branches. These files were not maintained. Please use the documentation found in the dotnet/arcade main branch.

@dotnet/dnceng please weigh in here, especially if you disagree w/ @riarenas and my preference to act on this issue.

I kind of disagree as infrastructure and documentation in main differs from release/7.0 and release/6.0 intentionally.

I think the challenge here is that our docs are a big pile of all kinds. There is some docs which make sense to follow the servicing branches. (e.g. maestro, arcade sdk, etc) But there's also a bunch of project or dnceng stuff that is no longer relevant.
