I commented out the following patches in mpi.dtx to get the templates to build with the newer apa. They need to be reviewed again and rewritten to work against the new apa.bbx, etc.
Have a maximum of two authors in citation commands
Update the author macro so that there is no period after the authors, for authors without initials, in the bibliography
Not sure what this one is doing!
Change the order of the publisher and the location, so it is publisher, location rather than location: publisher, in the bibliography
