@Otim-Haron Congrats again on accomplishing your capstone project! We are happy that you went through the course with us and applied the skills in the project. Please excuse us for the late review, and note that it does not have any assessment on the writing content of the report.

Let us now have a look at your project. You completed most items in the Required Items. Awesome! Some items that can be improved are:

Technical

The report renders without errors to HTML format and contains at least five chapters of heading level 1 that are named: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, References.

• The Quarto (.qmd) file cannot be directly rendered to an HTML (.html) file from our side. This is due to two things:
  1. First, the package installation code install.packages() was not included. I advise you to add it at the beginning of your file. It is moreover recommended to separate it from the actual package importing library(), and to set different options for these two code chunks. For example, set eval=FALSE for the package installation code.
  2. Second, for the read_csv()and write_csv() calls to be reproducible, you need to specify a correct file path, i.e. one that does not only work from your Posit Cloud repository. For this, I would suggest to use the package here.
• Your report does not contain a fifth chapter of heading level 1.

Each data visualisation has a label defined in the code-chunk options. & Each data visualisation has a caption defined in the code-chunk options.

• The purpose of your section "Choices for graphs used in visualization" is a bit unclear to me: the plot you chose to display here is a pertinent plot but could as much belong to the "Data Exploration" section as the "Results" section, and lacks a label and a caption. Please add a bit more context for better comprehension.

The report has at least one table with summary statistics (e.g. count, mean, median, standard deviation, etc.).

• The two tables displayed in your "Results" section are interesting, but do not contain actual statistics. Do not hesitate to make use of built-in statistics functions to get more insights from your data!

Data

Every item in this section is complete. Good job!

Intellectual

Figures and tables in Results section are interpreted with 2 to 3 sentences each.

• You described and labeled correctly your figures and tables in the "Results" section but did not interpret any of the outcomes. But the purpose of this section is to analyze your results!

Conclusions concisely summarize findings in a bullet point format.

• This section is good, but a bit too detailed: you should interpret your tables and figures in the "Results" section and summarise your findings in the "Conclusions" section.

Lastly, I would have recommended you to use a dataset with more variables to be able to practice visualizations a bit more in details. However, your conciseness makes the report really enjoyable to read. And overall, you did a great job!

@margauxgo The challenge came in right from the choice of dataset, with a limited exposure to data science and a field of specialization, it's all not quite easy for a beginner. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to improving as I advance in my career and I trust that these remarks don't mean that I failed 🥲.
