As a YouTube creator, I often use premieres for my videos. These premieres are publicly visible before the video goes live, and I sometimes include shortened URLs in the video description to link to related content. However, because the premiere is visible in the feed of users and on the YouTube channel before it has started, these links are accessible before I want them to be, which can lead to people seeing content too early.
I would like a way to schedule shortened URLs so they only become active after a specific date and time. This way, I can ensure that the links I share remain inactive until the right moment, such as when the video is live.
Feature Proposal
This feature would allow users to set a "start time" for their shortened links. Until the specified time, the link would either show a placeholder message (e.g., “This link will be available on [date/time].”) or redirect to a neutral page. Once the scheduled time arrives, the link would behave as normal, redirecting to the intended target.
This feature would be particularly useful for creators or even businesses wanting to ensure links are only available at the right time.
Do you think this is a feature that could be added to Dub.co? Let me know if you have any question
