BPMN syntax check ignores sequence flow rules for boundary events

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a BPMN model with a task and an attached boundary event
2. Insert two sequence flows, each connecting the boundary event with 
another task
3. Invoke the BPMN syntax checker

What is the expected output?
The sequence flows starting at the boundary event are highlighted as a 
syntax error.

What do you see instead?
The syntax checker does not find any syntax error.
