#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) This way we don't need to track pw
#general: Willie (grossw) well, maybe not. that's a detail we will need to work out with PACCAR
#general: Willie (grossw) but possibly yeah
#general: Willie (grossw) tapping AD just gives us guaranteed unique user names to store and log actions settings etc
#general: Willie (grossw) otherwise we'd have to make our own user-name system
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Do you have a github url for the project?
#general: Willie (grossw) yes
#general: Willie (grossw) standby
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Got it. Let me build the project
#general: Willie (grossw) :+1:
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Pin it to the github channel?
#general: Willie (grossw) we will still be able to add folder and stuff. we just wanted to avoid having to merge base-level built in files etc
#general: Willie (grossw) yeah
#general: Asa Davidson (davids26) Koenig thought we would still need a local login system. I think mostly for us
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) We do
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) That's where the debug modes come in
#general: Willie (grossw) yeah. the whole idea is we need both, and can switch freely back and forth between the two depending on if we're running on their system or ours
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Thanks @grossw I'll get a project up asap
#general: Willie (grossw) the same way we can switch between different databases
#general: Willie (grossw)
#general: Willie (grossw) don't forget to post im #update-alerts
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Ok it was just easier for me to publish to my own repository
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) I posted the link in the git-hub channel. Try and clone?
#general: Willie (grossw) lol, 10-4
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) @oslandt When you get a chance can you add some nuget packages? I just added bootstrap and datetimepicker but i know tehre were some more you put in there today
#general: Willie (grossw) the clone was successful, but the project is empty. did you push the VS project yet?
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) I think so
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Let me try again
#general: Willie (grossw) also I posted some screenshots showing how to add a repository
#general: Willie (grossw) oh no i got it
#general: Willie (grossw) @kuoc1 I got it
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) I FEEL ACCOMPLISHED
#general: Willie (grossw) !channel note, you can't browse the comprehensive files within the git-hub client, it strictly for pushing changes and logging those changes. it's not and IDE. You have to view files in explorer to actually see all the files.
#general: Willie (grossw) I'm going to open it and make and commit a small comment change
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) I want to modify the login and register controller so I wouldn't go crazy referencing them if I were you guys
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Perfect
#general: Troy Osland (oslandt) Caaaaaaan do chuck! I'll let you guys know when i put them in
#general: Willie (grossw) gonna post more caps in #git-hub please check em out
#general: Willie (grossw) also note that if you have Visual studio open when you pull a change, you'll need to reload the project. VS should prompt you
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Ok couple questions willie how do I add you as a contributer
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) NVM got it
#general: Willie (grossw) 2 LATE
#general: Willie (grossw) SCREENSHOT INCOMING
#general: Willie (grossw) can we still be friends?...
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) Lol ya are you in
#general: Willie (grossw) mah boi. standby
#general: Willie (grossw) !channel ok so by the end of the day tomorrow, everyone should have github accounts and be logged into this project. if anyone needs help , see the pics and other info pinned in #git-hub
Past that, it's a pretty simple push/pull/sync progress. do your work in visual studio, save, commit, comment, and push. its easy as that.
Also DONT FORGET to post in #update-alerts when you git that commit button
#general: Chuck Kuo (kuoc1) :100:
