I have a similar problem.
About the top ten percent of EVERY planet cuts off on a line.
The textures just dont match up.
It looks like someone put a cap on the planet!
I checked and this only happens with the SG Invasion mod enabled

Yep, exact same problem. Are you having the issues with the stars being so
large as well?

They are large and it takes FOREVER for my ships to navigate the gravity well,
But it hasnt affected my gameplay yet.
Another thing I did notice is some planets' are placed vertically offset from
the stars (almost above it!) and the ships will chase enemies vertically! Its
really funny looking! But once again hasnt affected gameplay much yet. Ill post
a screenshot.

Just an update.
Issue #61 was about the planet textures.
Apparently its a problem with Sins Optimization Project and the 2gb memory
issue.
Its being worked on but not as part of this project.
I dont have any new info on star sizes/planet placing yet.
