Thanks for the PR. However the code base of this functionality has a new home: https://github.com/eclipse/packager

It would be great if you could re-open the PR on the new code base.

Sure, I will submit #139 and #140 there. Is this code sufficient for prefix support or is there something more required? Perhaps I should look at https://github.com/ctron/rpm-builder.
