Description

A new article is required explaining how the UML API is generated and the purpose of all resource artifacts.

Generation of the UML api is a 12 or 13 step process with little tricks along the way.

I'm willing to get my feet wet with this bug...but obviously I will need some initial direction.

Great! James may have made a start on this already, but he's on vacation right now, so we should probably wait until the New Year to discuss with him what his plans were. In the meantime, familiarizing yourself with the artifacts that are in the org.eclipse.uml2.uml/model folder, and how EMG code generation works in general (see the EMF and tutorials on the EMF documentation page) would be a good start.

Hi Jon, Kenn,

I have some notes on this and a rough outline already.\ \ From what I understand, contributed articles should be cleared legally by publishing through eclipse corner. An article on this topic might not be general purpose enough to get accepted at eclipse corner (although I would not let this stop you from contributing such an article).

This might be a tricky article to start with but by all means, please take a stab at it. I can review it if you wish.

Cheers,
