5 years ago There is an if statement in the email template "templates/notifications/user/update.html" to check if the project is approved. I've updated the template to have the status approved case match your text. However, At present, the rejected case simply says "your Supercomputing Wales account has been rejected". Which seems a bit abrupt and not very helpful. What do people think about updating the rejected case to something like "We regret to inform you that your Supercomputing Wales account has not been approved. Please contact "insert email here" for further information." and if so what email should I put in the template?
Should the following text be sent by email when a project is approved?
Dear,
We are pleased to inform you that your request to Supercomputing Wales for access to the Sunbird machine has been approved. You can manage your project and system access by logging into the Supercomputing Wales portal, at https://my.supercomputing.wales, using your university credentials.
The portal will allow you to reset your password, mange your projects and project membership and tell us about any papers and/or funding that we've facilitated.
Please note that the availability of compute resources is subject to the demand on the system. The resources which you have requested have not been exclusively reserved and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Note also that the exact mechanism used for prioritisation of jobs may be periodically reviewed and changed to promote fair usage.
