Default Template Layout With Child Pages #85

As Kerri and I are moving along on sidebars, etc. we are noticing that because the Default Template is set-up to auto-feed from the subsequent child pages, we are ending up with content in the main body section, that we had previously wanted in the sidebar.

Is there a way to request that a child page NOT show up on auto-feed to it's parent page? And can we type our own blurbs onto the Default Template without over-ridding the child page feeds?

Please see About Us landing page (specifically placement of "Contact Us") and Donate landing pages verses the preferred content layout on Mockingbird.

I was following along with what you meant until "...without over-ridding the child page feeds?"

Regardless of this however, there will not be time to make this change before launch, I will add this (assuming I understand it correctly) to the backlog.

It looks like you've discovered the way to determine the order of the links. For now, I'd just put the duplicate content at the bottom.

In the future you may want to order pages by multiples of 3s or 5s so that adding a new page wouldn't require you to renumber every page.

Just to clarify this again, our ultimate goal was to be able to add, say, and additional intro paragraph on a page using this default template. For example on the Creative Engagement landing page currently, their intro paragraph is in the sidebar ONLY because the auto-fed child pages for this default template do not let us manually add additional text in the main section. Am I mistaken?
