Movie subtitles cut off! #10

Hi,

I am using Kodi 18.7 on the 2nd Generation Firestick, Android 5.

I have been using your much improved Einthusan add-on now for a few months from the Eintamil Repository and it has been working great up unit recently, movies have been playing with the subtitles cut off and kind of looks like it's been zoomed in a little, I don't know if it's after I've updated to 18.7 or after a recent add-on update, but it's been bothering me since.

Ps: My Kodi and TV Settings have always been set to default and they have not been changed recently.

Please can you look Into this and help solve this as soon as you can.

Thank You,

Sumon

Hi Sumon, Thanks for your comment.

Nothing was changed recently from the addon end. Did you try these below steps? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhpAkekS8cQ https://www.techjunkie.com/amazon-fire-tv-stick-zoomed-in-unzoom/ Also, are you facing this issue only with this video addon or all other addons as well?

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I have reviewed both links and have checked all 3 Kodi, Firestick and TV Settings and they all seem to look fine, nothings been changed, they have all remained in default settings from the very start.

I have only one other add-on including Einthusan on Kodi and that's Deccan Delight, and videos there seem to look ok but then again they have no built in subtitles in there videos so it's kind of hard to tell.

I feel like this is more of a Kodi 18.7 problem then anything, but I'm not sure as videos now on Kodi seem to look a little more expanded in Einthusan.

If you happen to own a 2nd Generation Firestick with Einthusan installed on Kodi 18.7 you will see what I am talking about.

PS: I've come to realize that most of the newer movies are having this problem and just some of the older movies.

Example here if you compare these two movies here:

  1. War (SD)
  2. Dilwale (SD)

You will see quite a difference.

Hope you will take a look into this a bit further.

Thank you,

Sumon

Hi, Unfortunately I do not own a firestick to reproduce this issue. I use Kodi on Raspberry Pi or MacOS. Everything looks fine there to me. If possible, would you be able to share the screenshot/photo to understand the issue.

Hi,

I will send you 2 pictures from each Movie to show you the problem.

Movie 1: Dilwale (This Movie looks fine)

Movie 2: War (This Movie has cut off subtitles)

These are just 2 movie examples, there are a lot more that are having this problem as well, mainly the recent movies from what I've encountered.

I understand now... And it looks more of external issues (like Kodi/Firestick/TV) or the movie aspect ratio for recent movies in Einthusan... Unfortunately, I can be of no help here :(
