@gabriellandau, I was reviewing existing performance related github documentation and thought your write up (here) was valuable and should be in official docs. I'm not sure if it needs any updates, please let me know if there is anything we should be aware of if pulling it into official docs!

I think there's value in making it into a regular public-facing doc, to help users attempting to self-service.
