extremely slow mpeg audio search #37

dragon unpacker 5.5.1beta (build 226) hyperripper 5.6.beta2

for some files which include mpeg audio search is extremely slow. one example is attached. it will finish, eventually, but final speed is often something like 2kB/s so time spent on this is not acceptable. also that it actually finished i noticed only when creating sample for this report. Before i never had the patience to wait long enough

one of files which exposes the problem is file nfs_fe_music.fsb from Need For Speed: Shift installation. first 256kB of this file is attached. with so short size you can see its quite fast at the end (37kB/s) but you will experience very long delay at the beginning

to see what is happening open file in hyperriper, all settings leave on defaults, only in formats make sure only mpeg audio is checked

Hi!

I think I have fixed this problem in the upcoming 5.5.2 Beta. Can you check it yourself by trying this version: http://download.elberethzone.net/dup5/wip/55210/dup552wip20100305.7z
