there's also abit of nostalgia in this, as it was the first piece of code I used to examine protein structures at the beginning of my phd. Thanks @peterjc !

I'm glad it was useful. And I agree, a bit nostalgic - according to the edit history, I wrote that back in May 2007 (during my PhD).
