Add a "share your purchase" interaction

It could be neat to have a share option (when the transaction is complete and they're returned to the elementary website) so customers can share their elementary OS purchase on social media.

Like this Amazon one (that no one uses) only well-designed.

Sharing Options

Can I get a design proposal on which of the following we should include?

E-Mail

• 2.5 billion users
• Seems a little old fashioned
• By far the most common
• Hard: Needs custom mail to send. Could be sent by site or open standard email client.

Facebook

• 1.59 billion users
• Biggest social network
• Easy: Just share the link with default settings, maybe a suggested message, it looks nice anyway.

Instagram

• 400 million users
• Medium: Share a square-ish picture (out of a selection) as well as link

Twitter

• 320 million users
• Easy: Just share the link with default settings, maybe a suggested message.

Google+

• 300 million users
• Relatively large
• Quite nerdy
• Easy: Just share the link with default settings, maybe a suggested message.

LinkedIn

• 100 million users
• Unsure if relevant enough, maybe too much clutter.
• Easy: Just share the link with default settings, maybe a suggested message.

Pinterest

• 100 million users
• Less common
• Easy with Instagram: Share same pictures.

I think this is a great idea, I never remember to share that I'm using an open source project on social media. I vote for Facebook and Twitter first, then Instagram and Google+.

When #1730 gets merged, the links for sharing can be added to the "Thanks for downloading" page. Also, that page seems like a good place to ask downloaders where they learned about elementary OS (see #1390).

@lewisgoddard I think Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Mastodon make sense since we include those in our header.
