First of all, thaks for this amazing and extremily useful add-on, which worked fine until today! Now, in any attempt to download a borrowed book, the download button turns green and nothing happens ... and it turns black and white again.

I've been using firefox 133.0 (64-bits) and I have been tring to download this book https://archive.org/details/englishvocabular0000crut

Please keep up this incredible work!

Same here. First noticed that download button didn't appear anymore on Opera and then switched to FireFox. As reported above download goes green but nothing happens.

I tried this several times and still not working. I stopped because it might be seen as unnatural activity.

This was working yesterday and was able to download any book I want to download. But today, it is not working anymore.

Yes, I still use Fire's Fox 132.0.1, 'cause I was having issues with the latest 133. version of it. But now I also have problems with the button (as described by users above), which started half an hour ago... ...What remains is for us to wait that the Developer fix the code and adjust it for future releases of both the code and Fire's Fox. That is why I wanted software, more reliable and it provides full speeds, I barely achieve 1 MB of download with this extension. The good thing is that extension allows for multiple downloads at the same time, otherwise it would be the Snail-Principle.

Dear developer can you create new internet archive downloader or you can even continue with the existing ones.

There is an instructions on how to install it: https://github.com/elementdavv/internet_archive_downloader

Due to the install restriction of Chrome with extensions which are not from Chrome WebStore, take the following steps: Windows: Download registry file [windows.reg]. Double click to run it. The file will allow the Internet Archive Downloader extension CRX file to install in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi browser.

In my case, I did convert the crx file into zip and unzipped it, and then load unpacked extension. It worked. That was I've done before reading the instructions above.

However, this seems to stopped working, or it may be some glitch in the archive itself.

As the developer mentioned above, updating to the latest 1.0.2 version would solve it. It was released yesterday. If you can't add the new .crx to the explorer you use currently (CRX_REQUIRED_PROOF_MISSING, although I am pretty sure that I have run the windows.reg before), try another explorer (this happens to my Edge).

I am using Edge and cannot get this to work. The "Install automatically" version is still version 1.0.0, so will this be updated as well? I have tried downloading the 1.0.2 version and dragging it into Edge extensions and it looks like it installs, but says there is an error and doesn't load? I literally just found this extension the other day and starting using Edge just for this reason (couldn't get Chrome to work), so I hope this will be corrected for Edge? Thanks very much for creating it in the first place!!

I am using 1.0.2 most normally with Fire's Fox 132.0.1... Try switching to this browser, because it is for real men. Chrome and Edge are for mere boys. :-P

I am using the latest version 1.0.2, both extensions for chrome (brave, ungoogled chrome, thorium) and firefox are working.

By the way, have you followed the video by @elementdavv he mentioned above? In several steps it is like this;

Download the appropriate extension; either for firefox or chrome (for all chrome-based browsers)
Download the windows.reg file, which can be found in Release v1.0.0
Once both downloaded, FIRST, GO TO your browser's Extension page and ENABLE DEVELOPER MODE
Once Developer mode is enabled, double click on the WINDOWS.REG file and let it merge with the registry
Then, while the extension page of your browser is active, drag the appropriate extension to that page and it will install.

That above step (as in the video) works. However, if that fails for you for some reason, try this one. This works for me for chrome-based browsers (Brave, Thorium, Ungoogled Chrome) as I this was the steps I've used before I read the additional instructions at the homepage. I am not using the chrome browser from Google, so I can't comment on that.

Download the chrome extension
Convert the extension to zip. I use this website to do that
Upload the .crx file to that website, and convert it to zip, then download the zip file.
Then, extract the zip file into a folder. Make sure you do extract it to a folder because if just extract it, it is not in its own folder. So, you better rename the zip file to something meaningful like IADOWNLOADER, than extract to that folder.
Go back to your browser's extension page, make sure DEVELOPER MODE is enabled.
At the top left, click LOAD UNPACKED, and select folder. It should install.

Again, this works on chrome-based browsers I have (Brave, Thorium, Ungoogled Chrome), but I have not tried it on Google's official chrome browser. I cannot comment on that.

On firefox, it works very well, too.

Try the suggestions above. Using the windows.reg file, it works on Microsoft Edge.
