Thursday night concerts on the colonnade (free, near the Boardwalk)
Friday night movies on the beach (free, near the Boardwalk)
Walk around downtown with ice cream from Penny Ice Creamery or Mission Hill Creamery
Wander one of the local Farmers' Markets (Westside or Downtown locations)
Learn to surf at Cowell's Beach
Go for a hike on Upper Campus, connecting to either Wilder Ranch State Park or Pogonip (at Pogonip, try to find the koi pond or the historic lime kilns!)
Visit the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for rides, games, laser tag, mini golf, and amusement park food
Explore UCSC's own Arboretum gardens
