The below screen-shots are taken on Windows. The feature request applies for macOS and Linux as well.
When listing the available USB ports for upload through the Tools > Port menu, Energia lists COM3 COM16...
COM3
COM16
...but not details the Device Manager provides.
The Arduino IDE populates the port list with the details
from the Device Manager
Add the English description to the list of ports in Energia.
