You can install Wine and just run it through there. Works great!
If you notices any problems, try an earlier more stable version. A lot of things had changed lately, and more had been moved to the GPU that sometimes in some setups can cause problems that is not fixed yet.

Linux would probably compile and AppImage is there to provide a uniform way of distribution.
So is the decision based on the lack of attention that ephtracy likes to commit to it, or technical reasons?
Does anybody try to build it on Linux? Or maybe there are some plans for porting it to Linux?
