This PR aims to fix a failing touchstone workflow in #212. May need to revert changes from #207 and #210 to correct this issue.

Pushing this PR through although continuous benchmark checks are failing in the hope that the touchstone/pr-comments/info.txt file is generated when #212 is rebased on main.
